Fun Visit - Angela

 In 1997, I became a camp counsellor on a camp in Virginia for the summer through an organisation called Camp America. It was a wonderful experience! Angela was a camper with whom I started a sort of pen pal relationship after camp. She has been working in Poland the last few years, and I told her that she needed to come visit... and in February she finally did. It was lovely to see the lovely young lady she has become!

I took her on a little excursion to places nearby - like Krupa Falls (left) and Jajce (right). Despite it being cold, it was such a beautiful sunny day! 

European Leadership Gathering

 

The first week in February was the ELG. Almost 300 leaders from all over YWAM Europe came to Albania to get inspired, network and go back to their places to continue to make an impact again.

I was part of the program team and also helping with the logistics, for example making sure we had quality workshops and other networking activities:

It is always wonderful to be able to serve with my organisational skills in this way. And so fun to catch up with friends from all over Europe and beyond! 

On the way back, I missed my flight connection in Belgrade and the next flight was in 3 days... at first I was a bit stressed, but in the end it really was a blessing from the Lord as the airline put my up in a spa hotel for the weekend!!! (Luckily I had packed my swimsuit as the hotel in Albania had a pool, but I didn't ever find time to go to the pool as I was too busy! A little blessing for all my hard work!)

Final Christmas play performance

 We always do our final performance and shoebox package distribution at the end of January at the Children's Home, as they have so many packages over the Christmas/New Year period. As Christmas is in January in this Orthodox part of the world, it isn't too far removed!

So, I got back to Banja Luka in time for the final performance. Our young actors did a fantastic job and the children at the Home enjoyed watching the play and getting their shoebox packages!
